It is in the nature of people to wonder about what is unknown or forbidden. Death and dreaming are two such perfect mysteries. The inner world of dreams is vivid and secret. As for death, there is no knowing what lies beyond the veil. This work is focused on the immaterial, subjects that are illusive. Employing allegory through imagery from folklore, mythology, and Catholicism, this work explores the mysterious. The narrative quality of the images implies a sense of time or progression. However, there is no conclusion to this hazy series of vignettes; they only provide a glimpse into a strange world.
